Last week I went shopping with some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket. I don't know why I'm always surprised that "essentials" are so pricey.

Totally out of what. While shopping one day (for a bra) I was running other errands with my oldest son. When I commented how much the bra cost he was stunned...that something "essential" and made of little fabric would cost that much. Surprise!!!
I'm having one of those days (had one yesterday too). I can spell, I really can. I meant to say "whack" so no idea why "what" is what appeared.
Love that you made a Haiku out of your *essentials* shopping trip! It is totally out of whack. And, why were you spending birthday $$ on essentials? You should be spending it on chocolate or a good book. Hope they were part of your shopping, too.
