I saw him outside my window this morning as I stood flossing my teeth. He scared the crap out of me. I swear he comes to the window and gestures to get me to clean the snow off the feeder.

That's the cardinal who lived in the tree outside my bedroom until this summer when his home fell to the ground during a thunderstorm. I wondered where he had gone. He's gorgeous but LOUD!
Yesterday, just before the snow started, we had a woodpecker on a telephone pole. I didn't think they were ever around this neck of the woods.
Personally, I'm waiting for the gorgeous robin to come hop, hop, hoppin' along...means spring! And, yes, I know we haven't done winter yet.
He is so beautiful ! Lucky you to have such a neighbour !
