Guilty

I was caught last night, guilty as charged, by Anonymous. I was trying to set up my post for Wordless Wednesday and while working out the posting date and time I accidentally published. Egads! Yes, I do sometimes work my photo up on Tuesday night. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my downtown working days and so there is little energy for much other than maybe a photo on those two days. But yesterday was a particularly crappy little day. I started a post I called "Crappy Little Day", then decided it had been enough just to write it, I didn't need to put up all that angst and frustration. But let me tell you, from the effects of the upcoming retrograde Mercury, to misplacing my bus card and missing my first two buses looking for it to arriving at work late, my stapler breaking, the photocopier on "bypass" mode, having documents I sent out in July come back and bite me in the bum big time, having thoughts of being unemployed and worries of going back home on the bus newly unemployed with my cardboard box of personal effects (photo of Riley and a week's supply of chocolate) tucked under my arm, it was quite a day. Even my armpits stank, for goodness sake. But all that made me realize that I need to make some changes, that some parts of my life are not only not good enough, but detrimental to my health on many levels. It's true that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, I only wish there were more gentle ways of learning those kinds of lessons.

No guilt! You’re doing an amazing job – an amazing juggling act. Lots on your plate.
And, yes, I would also prefer to learn life’s lessons in a kinder, gentler manner. (And remember them.) Perhaps what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger but it certainly is stressful!

Oh my gosh I echo Beth loudly -- NO GUILT!!! Good grief my friend, you have a plate that is overflowing and how you manage to accomplish it all...amazes me.

As for posting to post at a specific date and time...I pre write all my posts for a week and have them ready to go. It makes it easier for me to talk about all the things I want to talk about at once and then have them go one after another. But I too have hit publish by mistake. Hey, it happens.

It isn't a mistake...it's just a posting before you were ready. I think anonymous was going for humour with "what happened to Tuesday" but if not, so what? It's your blog, you blog without obligation and that's your prerogative and your privilege.

Now stop, slow down and breathe for goodness sake. This is blogging, it's a hobby and an enjoyment...everything else is what really matters...Riley, your job, etc.

Sending you ((((hugs))) and hey, life is life. Remember what I've said before..some days you are the pigeon, some days you are the statue. Some days you get to be both!! ;)

Some days just plain suck ! Why ? Maybe the moon, maybe the weather, maybe hormones, maybe because life is tough, whatever !!! Maybe you do have things you need to change, and you will get to that. For now, grab what is good under your stinky armpits (little boys don't notice that crap) and hold on tight. Tomorrow is a new day. If the world can't be gentle with you, at least you can be gentle with yourself...
